About the company

Our client is a law firm.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take charge of your own caseload of civil disputes, guiding matters from early strategy through courtroom proceedings. Partner with senior attorneys and keep clients closely informed along the way. Ideal for a seasoned trial lawyer who thrives with minimal oversight.

What you'll do

- Run an entire docket of civil disputes covering property, construction, commercial and related business matters.

- Carry cases through every stage, including written discovery, depositions, motions and trial readiness.

- Work alongside senior attorneys to shape strategy for individual matters.

- Keep clients updated regularly with thoughtful, substantive and timely contact.

- Explore opportunities to build out additional areas of practice that match your strengths and interests.

- Meet a monthly billable hours target, with bonus potential for work beyond that level.

- Courtroom trial experience across multiple cases.

- Hands-on experience with motion practice, discovery and depositions.

- JD from an accredited law school.

- Eligibility for admission to the Idaho State Bar, either as an active member or ready to waive in.

- Strong legal writing, including drafting briefs and motions.

- Confident courtroom presence and persuasive oral advocacy.

- Self-directed approach that does not rely on partner-level supervision.

- Responsive, high-quality communication with clients.

- Willingness to work in the office 3 to 4 days per week and a long-term commitment to an Idaho-based career.

- Enjoys working within a compact, expanding practice.

- Open to relocating to the Boise area if currently based elsewhere.

Bonus points

- Background in property, construction or commercial disputes.

- Exposure to tort claims between businesses, business dissolution disputes or appellate work.

- Prior experience at a small or mid-size firm or in an in-house department.
