Job description

Location: San Francisco, CA
Work Model: Onsite, 5 days per week
Industry: AI / human data infrastructure
Compensation: Competitive salary + equity
About the Company
Our partner is one of the fastest-growing AI data companies in the market, building the human-data layer that frontier AI labs depend on: high-quality reinforcement-learning environments and agents that let models learn to do real work. They went from under twenty people to roughly fifty in a matter of months and have reached a nine-figure run rate. Their customers are the best-known names in AI research.
The Opportunity
This is an in-house recruiting seat at a company whose entire thesis is that the future of AI is bottlenecked on human talent and human data, which means recruiting is not a support function here. The team is hiring across technical and operational lanes, and each recruiter owns their searches end to end rather than working a slice of a process someone else designed.
You will recruit from the most competitive talent pools in quantitative finance, big tech, investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, and top consulting, and you will work with founders and senior leaders as a matter of routine. The recruiting function is still being built, so autonomy is the point of the job.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical or operational roles, from search strategy through close.
- Identify, attract, and close candidates from the most competitive talent pools in finance, consulting, and technology.
- Partner directly with founders and senior leaders to scope roles and calibrate the hiring bar.
- Build recruiting process and infrastructure where it does not exist yet.
- Move quickly without dropping quality as priorities shift with the business.
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of recruiting experience spanning both agency and in-house environments.
- A demonstrated track record of identifying, attracting, and closing strong talent in competitive markets.
- Experience recruiting for, or familiarity with, finance, consulting, private equity, or operationally rigorous business roles.
- Startup experience, with comfort building where a lot is not yet built out.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the credibility to engage founders and senior leaders directly.
- High agency, low ego, and genuine interest in the thesis that the future of AI is bottlenecked on human data.
- Able to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week.
