About the company

Our client is an early-stage technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and build AI-driven systems along with the user-facing applications that sit on top of them, spanning backend services and front-end work. The position is hands-on and autonomous, with considerable greenfield development in a small engineering group.

What you'll do

- Develop autonomous agent systems, including memory and iterative self-improvement mechanisms.

- Create pipelines for model evaluation and for generating artificial training data.

- Devise grading methods for areas where correct answers are hard to define objectively.

- Build vector search and retrieval infrastructure that handles heavy traffic.

- Develop large-scale web crawlers that gather visual content.

- Deploy model inference services and expose them through APIs for external users.

- Improve tooling and infrastructure so that systems stay dependable and responsive.

- Create internal data-management tools and interfaces for outside specialist reviewers.

- Design engaging, game-like web features such as quizzes, rankings and incentive flows.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Background in shipping AI products used directly by end users, or time spent at a company built around AI.

- Practical experience with LLM-based applications, including agent workflows, prompt and context design, embeddings and search indexing.

- Ability to deliver complete products, from web interfaces to the backend systems that support them.

- Degree in computer science or a related field.

- Fluent English.

- Comfort working in early-stage settings with unclear requirements.

- Real curiosity about design and visual quality.

- Inventive approach to building infrastructure for problems with no established playbook.

Bonus points

- Strong skills in React, TypeScript and Python.

- Experience at a small engineering organization or a company that scaled quickly.

- Public code contributions or side projects driven by personal curiosity.

- Experience at design software, web indexing or data-focused companies.
