About the company

Our client is a fast-growing Series A compliance software company that uses AI to help investment advisers and broker-dealers monitor communications, marketing, accounts and filings for regulatory risk. It has about $11 million in ARR and a team of about 60, and it is growing quickly.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. You will join a small engineering team as a hands-on senior engineer who owns product work end to end. The role leans backend, though it may reach into full stack. Architecture, data models and general backend programming matter most, because AI agents and the design and product teams handle much of the front-end work.

What you'll do

- Ship a first change to production in your first days.

- Implement a significant feature that drives new revenue in your first month.

- Become the owner of a domain within the product.

- Help the team through code review and technical design review.

- Build mostly in Python (Django) on AWS, working closely with product, customer success and the founders.

- Train and help hire new team members as the team scales.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Experience designing backend architecture and data models for production systems.

- Experience owning products end to end.

- Strong experience with Python.

- 3 or more years of professional software engineering experience.

- Clear, organized communication and strong problem solving.

- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
