SNIPEBRIDGE is a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities. We work as an exclusive partner to leading AEC and technology organizations that are advancing the built environment through innovation, technical rigor, and transformative work.

COMPANY

Our client operates within the fast-moving data center and digital infrastructure sector, where engineering, construction, technology, energy, and operations come together to support always-on environments. Its multidisciplinary teams plan, design, deliver, and operate complex facilities with a strong focus on reliability, safety, scalability, and efficient use of power and cooling. The work calls for close coordination across technical disciplines and offers the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure that supports the continued growth of cloud computing, AI, and connected services.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Director of Energy Systems will shape how large-scale digital infrastructure secures, uses, and expands its power supply. This leader will connect utility strategy, grid interconnection, onsite generation, storage, efficiency, resilience, and sustainability into a practical roadmap that supports rapid growth without losing sight of reliability or economics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set energy-system strategy for new and existing infrastructure portfolios
  • Lead utility engagement, load studies, capacity planning, interconnection strategy, and energization roadmaps
  • Evaluate grid supply, onsite generation, energy storage, microgrids, renewable energy, and emerging power technologies
  • Guide technical and commercial analysis for power agreements, tariffs, incentives, and infrastructure investments
  • Partner with development, engineering, construction, operations, finance, legal, sustainability, and public-affairs teams
  • Manage consultants, utilities, developers, technology providers, and other external partners
  • Develop portfolio-level risk, cost, schedule, reliability, and performance reporting
  • Build and lead a multidisciplinary energy team while establishing repeatable standards and governance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Power Systems, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in utilities, power systems, energy infrastructure, or large-load development
  • Leadership experience with grid interconnection, utility capacity, transmission or distribution, and complex energy projects
  • Understanding of power markets, tariffs, commercial structures, resiliency, and energy-system economics
  • Experience supporting data centers, advanced manufacturing, energy-intensive industry, or large infrastructure portfolios preferred
  • Professional Engineer license or relevant energy credential preferred
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational leadership skills

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and must already possess long-term work authorization.
