Registered Nurse (Travel) - Step Down - Lubbock, TX

VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse (Step Down) for an acute care hospital in Lubbock, TX.

Contract details

- Weekly pay: $1,696/wk

- Stipend: includes a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267/wk where eligible (GSA FY2027 max for this location)

- Shift: Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00 7:00

- Duration: 4 weeks

- Start date: 11/16/2026

- Openings: 1

About the assignment

- Short 4-week contract (about 11/16-12/13); locals may extend through the holidays

- Epic experience required (hard stop)

- Floating between units required; ratio 1:4

- Every other weekend; no on-call; 48-hour weeks approved

- 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted

- Short-term acute care, Level II trauma center (379 beds)

- Dress code: solid navy blue scrubs

- Free parking

Requirements

- Active Texas RN license (compact accepted)

- 1+ year of recent step-down experience

- BLS and ACLS

- Epic experience
