- Clearly and accurately document inspection findings, flag out-of-service items, and recommend additional repairs to advanced technicians for follow-up as needed.
- Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard inspection times.
- Take ownership of a company-issued service vehicle, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Diesel, automotive, or heavy-duty vehicle technical training (technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience) preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT inspection standards and out-of-service criteria, or willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills – you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
- Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards.
- Independent, dependable, and self-motivated – you take pride in getting the job done right.
- A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
- Must be at least 20 years old with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Work Environment
- Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas – safety and precision are key.
- Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment.
- Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work.
- Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
- Stay active – you'll bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions – rain or shine, our team gets it done.
