Machine Operator – Injection Molding

Location: Sterling Heights, MI (near 18½ Mile Road and Van Dyke)
Pay: Starting at $16.00 per hour, plus shift premiums for second and third shifts

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | $16.00/hour
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. | $16.75/hour (shift premium included)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. | $17.50/hour (shift premium included)

Training Requirement: All new hires must be available to train on first shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for approximately two weeks before transitioning to their assigned shift.

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and motivated Machine Operators to work in an injection molding manufacturing environment in Sterling Heights. This position involves operating production equipment, inspecting molded plastic parts, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines and production equipment according to established procedures.
• Remove finished plastic parts from machines as required.
• Inspect products for defects, proper appearance, and quality.
• Perform basic trimming, finishing, and assembly tasks as needed.
• Package and label completed parts according to production requirements.
• Monitor equipment and notify a supervisor of any issues or irregularities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and production instructions.
• Meet production goals while maintaining consistent quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail and basic quality inspection skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work the assigned shift after completing required first-shift training.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is a plus, but not required.
