Leasing Consultant

Location: Mobile, AL

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with rotating weekends (Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

This position is usually the first impression to the customer entering an APG property. It is essential that you project APG in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner and demonstrate your knowledge of the property and community. Through these skills, you will be able to accomplish your primary function of effectively leasing units and addressing the needs of your residents.

About the Role
As a Leasing Specialist at Cimarron Ridge, you'll be the first point of contact for prospects and a go-to resource for residents. You'll lead tours, guide applicants through the leasing process, support marketing and community events, and help the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager keep the office running smoothly. Leasing experience is a plus, but if you have strong customer service skills and a drive to learn, we'll help you grow.

What you'll Do

• Respond to phone calls, emails, and online inquiries, and follow up with prospects consistently.

• Conduct in-person tours with prospective residents.
• Help carry out marketing outreach and maintain the community's social media presence.
• Complete market surveys and stay current on market rates, specials, and community policies.
• Process rental applications and complete screenings according to APG's written screening criteria, applied
  consistently to every applicant.
• Secure lease agreements and complete move-ins, move-outs, and renewals.
• Maintain accurate files for prospects, residents, and applicants.
• Build positive relationships with residents and help with their questions or concerns.
• Support resident retention efforts and community events.
• Keep the leasing office, model, and tour path clean and presentable.
• Meet leasing goals.
• Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
• Perform general administrative duties to support the Assistant Property Manager and Property Manager.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous leasing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach.
• Ability to multitask, manage time well, and stay organized with strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
