Whether it's at the airport, stadium, or throughout your everyday life, CLEAR unlocks the magic of frictionless experiences.
As Lead General Manager, Texas, you are directly responsible for your home airport's operations, team and performance. You also serve as the Sunbelt Regional Director's partner across Texas, providing leverage on quality control, stakeholder relationships and operational consistency. You are process oriented, you ensure adherence to procedures, and you can expertly navigate operational challenges across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead your home airport
- Own day-to-day operations and performance at your home airport, delivering CLEAR's objectives for security, service and sales.
- Lead a team of Ambassadors and Managers who use CLEAR technology to deliver exceptional airport security, customer service and sales experiences while continuously sharing the CLEAR story.
- Hire, develop and sustain a diverse, engaged team, and performance manage salaried and hourly team members through clear expectations, ongoing feedback and regular evaluation.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll and labor utilization, and monitor enrollments, renewals, conversion, service quality, security compliance, labor and turnover, taking action to improve results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with your home airport's leadership, TSA, airline partners, contractors and vendors, and ensure adherence to CLEAR policies and airport, state and federal requirements.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the floor, supporting your team and resolving operational and Member concerns.
Support Texas airport leaders and the Regional Director
- Partner with the Regional Director on operational priorities across Dallas, Austin and Houston, with clear alignment on assignments, expected outcomes and follow-through.
- Serve as a peer resource to the Austin and Houston General Managers through a dotted-line relationship: coaching, sharing experience and helping address operational challenges, with improvement plans owned locally.
- Make the stations run the same way: identify gaps, issues and best practices in one airport and help the others apply CLEAR's operating standards consistently, accounting for each airport's needs.
- Conduct regular airport visits to observe operations, provide hands-on support and share
- Coordinate regional initiatives, new programs and pilots as assigned by the Regional Director, working with local General Managers on implementation.
- Support local General Managers with airport, TSA and airline relationships, and help coordinate responses to partner concerns when requested by the Regional Director.
- Escalate security, compliance, staffing and operational concerns promptly through established channels, and provide temporary operational or leadership cover during peak periods and transitions as directed by the Regional Director.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 8+ years of operations leadership experience in a high volume, fast-paced, customer-facing environment such as retail, restaurants, hospitality, rental cars or aviation. General Manager experience required.
- A strong track record of leading a successful operation and delivering results in security, service, sales and employee engagement.
- Experience supporting multiple locations, mentoring peer leaders or coordinating initiatives across teams preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct reporting authority, build credibility with peers and follow through on shared commitments.
- Experience managing both salaried and hourly employees, including developing and managing Managers.
- Ability to develop trusted relationships with airport, airline and TSA leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills and the judgment to balance home airport responsibilities with broader Texas support needs, and to recognize when to involve the Regional Director.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Based at a designated home airport, with availability to work a non-traditional schedule (weekends, holidays, early mornings and evenings) and to travel up to 50% of the time to Austin, Houston, and Dallas based on priorities set with the Regional Director.
- Required to successfully complete a government background investigation.
