About Us
As we continue to scale our global platform, the Licensing Partnerships Intern will play a critical role in supporting Fanatics' college licensing agreements and partner event execution.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Licensing Partnerships Intern supports the College Licensing team by tracking sales and royalty guarantees, maintaining active license records, and providing analytical insights tied to authorized direct licensees (ADLs). This role is central to planning and executing Fanatics College's annual event calendar — spanning CALS, SBJ/NFF, Tailgate, CFP, Final Four, CLC Seminar, NACDA/ICLA, and Fanatics Fest — and building the operational infrastructure that enables Partner Development and College GM teams to maximize event impact. The Licensing Partnerships Intern delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.
HOW WILL YOU DRIVE IMPACT
Success is measured by the ability to deliver results through BOLD capabilities and measurable outcomes.
Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Partner Development and College GM teams to ensure alignment on licensing data, event logistics, and partner-facing deliverables.
- Support internal stakeholders by maintaining and distributing accurate business trackers, meeting materials, and consolidated planning grids that enable the broader team to operate efficiently.
- Contribute to a productive debrief process following major events, helping the team capture learnings and improve execution cycles.
Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)
- Help deliver standout college partner experiences by supporting flawless execution of marquee events including CFP, Final Four, and Fanatics Fest — ensuring every logistical detail reflects the Fanatics brand.
- Maintain up-to-date records of active licenses to ensure fans and partners are always served by accurate, current agreement data.
- Submit new product and/or distribution channel requests that expand the reach of officially licensed college merchandise to more fans.
- Provide insights tied to ADL sales performance that inform how partner products are positioned and supported in the market.
Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)
- Build scalable planning infrastructure — including attendee and registration lists, master session schedules, available meeting windows and spaces, and team meeting grids — that transforms event execution from reactive to proactive.
- Identify opportunities to streamline recurring processes such as deck population, royalty tracking, and business tracker updates through smarter templates and data workflows.
- Bring a solutions-oriented mindset to administrative and operational challenges, proposing improvements as patterns and inefficiencies are identified.
Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)
- Track sales and royalty guarantees under Fanatics' college licensing agreements and deliver timely, accurate insights to the College GM team.
- Create and maintain deck templates for recurring partner business meetings, ensuring materials are populated with current data and ready ahead of each meeting.
- Manage vendor coordination, on-site materials, travel and logistics, and invite and registration lists across the full Fanatics College annual event calendar.
- Provide reliable administrative support across the Licensing Partnerships team, handling a broad range of tasks with attention to detail and follow-through.
AI & DIGITAL CAPABILITY
We are building a future-ready organization. This role is expected to:
- Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes
- Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance
- Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams — including licensing data tracking, event planning, and partner meeting preparation — simultaneously and accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking sales, royalty guarantees, and business metrics; comfort building and maintaining data trackers and templates.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in sports licensing, partnerships, or collegiate athletics business environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, professional materials for partner-facing meetings and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach to record-keeping, including maintaining active license records and populating recurring reporting templates with precision.
- Ability to support event logistics end-to-end — from invite lists and registration to vendor coordination, on-site materials, and post-event debriefs — across a multi-event annual calendar.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative on administrative and operational tasks and flag issues proactively to senior team members.
