About Summit Home Health & Hospice

At Summit Home Health & Hospice, we understand that compassionate healthcare involves more than the services delivered to patients. It also requires a dedicated team of professionals who help ensure that the administrative and financial aspects of care are handled accurately, efficiently, and with respect.

Our team values professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and a patient-centered approach. We recognize the important role that accurate insurance verification plays in supporting care coordination and helping patients access the services they need.

We are committed to fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment where team members can contribute meaningfully to our operations and the overall patient experience.

About the Position

Summit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated Insurance Verification Specialist to join our administrative team in San Antonio, Texas.

Working closely with admissions, intake, billing, and other designated team members, you will help support an organized and efficient insurance verification process while contributing to accurate patient records and timely administrative coordination.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, respects patient confidentiality, and understands the importance of accuracy in a healthcare environment. We welcome applicants with relevant healthcare administrative experience who are eager to contribute to a collaborative team.

Communication and Team Collaboration.

* Communicate professionally with insurance representatives and authorized internal personnel regarding eligibility, benefits, and coverage requirements.

* Contribute to a cooperative work environment by supporting shared departmental goals and maintaining professional working relationships.

Quality Assurance and Administrative Support

* Follow established verification procedures, documentation standards, and applicable payer guidelines.

* Maintain consistent attention to detail when reviewing and entering insurance information.

* Assist with internal quality reviews, audits, and process improvement activities as assigned.

* Stay informed about relevant changes in payer procedures and insurance verification practices.
