- Apply applicable electrical codes, standards, and engineering practices throughout the design process.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify conflicts and maintain coordinated construction documents.
- Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
- Review drawings and project documentation for accuracy, constructability, and consistency prior to issuance.
- Assist with construction-phase questions, technical coordination, and design-related issues.
- Take ownership of assigned electrical design work and contribute to project delivery from design through construction documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical engineering or building design experience, preferably within an MEP consulting environment.
- Proven experience designing electrical systems for high-rise buildings and/or complex commercial projects.
- Advanced proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with commercial projects such as offices, condominiums, hotels, airports, industrial facilities, municipal buildings, or similar structures.
- Strong understanding of electrical building systems, applicable codes, and engineering design practices.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP construction documents.
- Demonstrated hands-on electrical design and documentation experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Local South Florida MEP consulting experience is strongly preferred.
