The Role:

The Creative Project Manager is responsible for driving the planning, coordination, tracking, and delivery of creative and product development initiatives across the Consumer Products & Experiences division. This role partners closely with CP&E Creative and Product Development leadership to ensure projects move efficiently from kickoff through development, approvals, final asset delivery, and launch.

The role serves as the central point for project workflow and visibility, ensuring teams understand priorities, timelines, dependencies, deliverables, approvals, and next steps while allowing CP&E Creative and Product Development leads to maintain ownership of creative direction, product strategy, and final decision-making.

6-month fixed term | 5 days on-site in Los Angeles

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain timelines for seasonal style guides, packaging programs, product development, retail initiatives, and other creative projects; translating major milestones into actionable schedules, tracking dependencies, identifying risks, and proactively flagging potential delays.
  • Manage the end-to-end operational flow of creative projects; scheduling internal and external reviews and ensuring feedback is consolidated, actionable, and delivered to the appropriate creative/PD owner.
  • Develop and manage seasonal style-guide calendars, including creative development, agency deliverables, internal reviews, legal reviews, revisions, finalization, and launch; tracking all individual asset types—character art, graphics, patterns, icons, backgrounds, key art, editorial, packaging elements, etc.—so stakeholders have clear visibility into what is final, in development, or forthcoming.
  • Work closely with external agencies and internal legal team to develop and track proposals including any and all contract needs through to completion.
  • Track and manage external agency invoices and creative budget spend assuring the team asset needs are within budget and proactively identifying potential financial risks
  • Track artwork development, structural needs, copy, legal requirements, stakeholder reviews, and final production assets.
  • Maintain clear records of approvals, outstanding comments, revisions, and decision owners. Consolidate feedback from Brand, Creative, PD, Legal, Commercial, Retail, and external partners to reduce conflicting direction and unnecessary revision cycles.
  • Manage the organization, naming, version control, uploading, and release of approved assets across platforms such as Flowhaven, Box, etc., ensuring teams and external partners are working from the most current approved assets.
  • Help manage creative timelines and deliverables involving licensees, agencies, vendors, and international partners.
  • Communicate asset availability, deadlines, approval status, and project requirements while escalating creative or product decisions to the appropriate team lead.
  • Serve as the operational liaison across Creative/Product Development, Commercial, Brand, Legal, Retail, and external partners. Prepare project status updates, meeting agendas, recaps, action items, and leadership-level reporting.
  • Work with Creative and PD leadership to understand workload, competing priorities, and resource needs. Help sequence projects based on business priorities and deadlines and identify capacity issues before they impact delivery.
  • Establish scalable processes, templates, trackers, naming conventions, approval workflows, and project documentation. Conduct project retrospectives and recommend improvements that reduce bottlenecks and increase visibility.
  • Track and Enforce PD Process Milestones, reminding and holding the entire x-functional team accountable for their respective deliverables and timing.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of project management, creative operations, licensing, product development, or consumer products experience, ideally within entertainment, toys, kids/preschool, fashion, lifestyle, or another licensed-products environment
  • Have a general understanding of licensing production timelines, seasonal development calendars, packaging, style guides, product submissions, legal review and asset management
  • A level of comfort with approval and asset sharing tools such as Flowhaven, Box, Monday.com, Airtable, or comparable workflow/digital asset management systems.
  • Knowledge of Mac OSX, MSFT & Google Suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides), Adobe Suite Programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Ability to work across the needs of a global team
