Front Office Intern - season 2027 - Grand Hotel Timeo - a Belmond Hotel

At Grand Hotel timeo, a Belmond Hotel, we are looking for an articulate, organized, and poised Front Office Intern, who will serve as the vital communication hub of our property, managing our Switchboard operations to deliver a seamless first impression and flawless internal coordination.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Manage the hotel Switchboard with absolute professionalism, handling all incoming internal and external calls with an elegant tone of voice and according to luxury standards.
• Route calls and accurately log messages or guest requests, ensuring they are promptly dispatched to the correct departments (Concierge, Housekeeping, Room Service).
• Support the Front Desk team with administrative duties, including guest registration, pre-arrival checks, and data entry in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Act swiftly and calmly during emergencies, coordinates communications effectively by strictly following the hotel’s safety protocols.
• Maintain an immaculate workspace and a professional demeanor, understanding that the switchboard is the invisible gateway to the guest experience.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Hospitality Management, Communications, or Foreign Languages program.
• Outstanding telephone manners, with a clear, warm, and sophisticated vocal presence.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Basic familiarity with hospitality software (e.g., Opera PMS) and excellent digital literacy.
• Fluency in Italian and English; professional proficiency in a third language is strongly preferred.
