We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux C++ Developer to build and maintain robust embedded applications focused on networking, wireless communication, and Linux-based systems. The role involves hands-on development, system integration, debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting across embedded platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C/C++, Embedded Linux, networking protocols, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and network applications, along with the ability to work closely with hardware and software teams to deliver reliable embedded solutions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain C/C++ applications on Embedded Linux platforms.
  • Develop networking applications using TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, and mDNS.
  • Implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi functionality in Linux environments using WPA Supplicant.
  • Develop Wi-Fi connectivity features supporting WPA2, WPA3, PSK, Enterprise authentication, and Access Point modes.
  • Work on Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality.
  • Develop and integrate Bluetooth profiles and protocols including RFCOMM, GATT, HID, and HOGP, along with SSP authentication.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts for system automation, diagnostics, and deployment.
  • Build and integrate applications using CMake and qmake.
  • Perform cross-compilation and application deployment for embedded Linux targets.
  • Debug application, networking, memory, and performance issues using GDB, Valgrind, and Qt Creator.
  • Analyze system-level issues and perform root-cause analysis across software, networking, and hardware interfaces.
  • Optimize application performance, memory consumption, reliability, and resource utilization.
  • Work with device interfaces including serial communication, USB, and network interfaces.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, networking, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Maintain clean, modular, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Follow secure coding practices and reliability standards for embedded systems.
  • Use Git and established software-development practices for source-code management and collaboration.

What's Makes You a Great Fit

  • 6+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, preferably with networking or wireless products.
  • BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in C/C++ and Linux.
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies and protocols, particularly TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, and mDNS.
  • Practical experience developing applications for Embedded Linux devices.
  • Strong experience with Wi-Fi development, WPA Supplicant, WPA2/WPA3, PSK, Enterprise authentication, and Access Point mode.
  • Experience with Bluetooth Classic and BLE, including RFCOMM, GATT, HID, HOGP, and SSP.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using GDB, Valgrind, or Qt Creator debugger.
  • Experience identifying and resolving memory leaks, performance bottlenecks, crashes, and system-level issues.
  • Familiarity with cross-compilation, CMake, qmake, Git, and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of device drivers, serial communication, USB interfaces, and embedded system architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues across software and hardware boundaries.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Exposure to network-connected peripherals such as barcode printers is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with QML, custom UI components, animations, framebuffer rendering, or responsive embedded interfaces is a plus.
  • Knowledge of secure coding, system reliability, and production-quality embedded software practices is highly valued.
