As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality women’s ethnic wear to meet the evolving demands of the market, ensuring that the product mix aligns with brand trends and seasonal preferences. You will collaborate closely with designers, suppliers, and merchandising teams to forecast demand, negotiate prices, and secure advantageous terms that maximize profitability. Your role will entail managing vendor relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating logistics to guarantee timely delivery without compromising quality. You will also analyze sales data and consumer feedback to refine selection strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the NCR retail landscape.

Requirements

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for women’s ethnic wear, focusing on quality, price, and delivery reliability.

• Negotiate contracts and prices to secure favorable terms and maintain cost efficiency.

• Conduct market research to stay abreast of emerging trends, material innovations, and competitive pricing.

• Forecast demand and work with merchandising to develop accurate product assortments for each season.

• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and manage stock-to-sales analytics.

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align product features with brand aesthetics and customer preferences.

• Oversee the arrival of goods, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.

• Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and corrective action plans as needed.

• Prepare and present quarterly purchase reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communications in the procurement system.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝘁

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in buying women’s ethnic wear within a retail or fashion environment.

• Strong understanding of ethnic fabric types, pattern variations, and seasonal trends in the NCR market.

• Proven negotiation skills that result in cost savings while maintaining quality and supplier relationships.

• Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable purchasing decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.

• Proficiency in procurement software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.

• Understanding of inventory management principles and the ability to track stock levels effectively.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
