About Us

At Blank Street, we’re on a mission to become the defining food and beverage brand of our generation. From the very beginning, we’ve set out to add a spark to ordinary experiences through elevated products, attention-to-detail, and a commitment to making every moment memorable. We’re motivated by the millions of customers we serve across cities, and know that our potential is unlimited. It all starts with our people and their commitment to make magic happen each and every day.

Start something Extraordinary...

We're looking for a Senior FF&E & Styling Designer who loves the details that make a space feel finished: the chair you want to sit in, the light that makes a corner feel warm, the object on the counter that makes someone smile.

You'll set the FF&E and styling direction for our stores and see it through from concept and specification to the final styling on opening day. You'll also own how that standard is kept up across our existing estate. You'll split your time between the studio and our sites, working closely with the Design, Construction, Operations and Real Estate teams, as well as suppliers, to make every store feel unmistakably Blank Street.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead FF&E and styling design across multiple new stores.
  • Develop and evolve the Blank Street FF&E and styling language, making sure it stays consistent across markets while leaving room for each location's character.
  • Create and present strong concepts, mood boards and sample boards that balance creativity, durability, function and budget.
  • Build and maintain the brand's FF&E standards library, including approved furniture, lighting, finishes, accessories and styling guidelines.
  • Prepare and manage FF&E schedules, specifications and procurement trackers, covering lead times, costs and deliveries.
  • Carry out quality and finish checks during and after installation, and resolve last-minute issues calmly and creatively.
  • Make sure every space meets design intent, safety standards and operational requirements before handover.
  • Work closely with the Interior Design team, project managers, contractors and Operations to keep projects on track, on budget and on brand.
  • Give regular, clear updates to management and project teams.

Who You Are

  • BArch / MArch degree in a design or design-related field, including but not limited to Interior Design or Architecture
  • 8+ years of experience in FF&E design, interior styling or interior design, ideally in hospitality, F&B or retail.
  • Proven experience leading FF&E packages from concept through procurement to installation.
  • Hands-on experience with on-site installation and styling, and happy to roll up your sleeves.
  • A strong visual eye and deep knowledge of furniture, lighting, finishes, materials and accessories.
  • A solid network of suppliers and makers, and a good grasp of commercial FF&E standards, lead times and compliance (e.g. fire ratings and durability).
  • Commercially minded and confident managing budgets and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Highly organised, able to juggle multiple projects, schedules and logistics at pace.
  • An excellent communicator, confident with suppliers, contractors and colleagues at every level.
  • A calm, practical, solutions-focused problem solver who is self-directed and open to feedback.
  • A genuine interest in sustainable design and responsible specification.

Benefits and Perks

  • Equity package
  • Private health and dental insurance
  • 25 days of annual leave (on top of bank holidays), along with an additional paid day a year ‘to start something extraordinary’ ✨ and pursue a passion
  • A salary sacrifice scheme to spend on Cycle to Work, bike subscriptions, pensions and medical
  • Access to 1Rebel off-peak classes at the sites near our office, for free!
  • Exclusive access to our coveted Regulars program – yes, that means free coffee, matcha and more! ☕️✨
  • Great culture with regular team events

*Portfolios must be submitted for consideration
