Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.

We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.

As we continue to develop cutting-edge technologies and sustainable energy solutions, we are looking to hire a versatile Mechanical Engineer with a broad engineering interest who is passionate about solving complex problems in the renewable energy sector. This role goes beyond traditional engineering. You'll engage in technical problem-solving and renewable energy engineering whilst also driving business development, market research and techno-feasibility evaluations.

  • Ensure all technologies comply with safety, health and environmental regulations and standards
  • Engage in a diverse range of projects, from feasibility studies and system design through certification, design-for-manufacture and production launch

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong technical foundation in either engineering design, commissioning or in an operational engineering setting
  • Proven track record of solving technical engineering problems in your given field
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
