Area Manager DACH - RIF.100167

We represent an established international company operating in the premium wine & beverage industry. We are currently looking for an Area Manager DACH to strengthen and further develop the company’s commercial presence across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Area Manager will be responsible for managing existing customers and distribution partners, developing new business opportunities and strengthening the company’s presence across key Retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the DACH markets;
• Drive sales growth, ensuring revenue, volume and profitability targets are achieved;
• Manage and develop relationships with importers, distributors and strategic customers;
• Build and strengthen relationships with key Retail accounts, particularly across LEH, specialist retail and discount channels;
• Lead commercial negotiations, including listings, pricing, conditions and promotional activities;
• Identify new customers, partners and business opportunities;
• Monitor market trends, category performance and competitive dynamics;
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and regular performance reports;
• Collaborate with Marketing and Trade Marketing on local initiatives and product launches;
• Represent the company at relevant trade fairs and industry events.

• Solid experience in Sales or Key Account Management, preferably within wine, spirits or beverages;
• Strong knowledge of the German market and Retail/LEH environment;
• Proven experience in direct negotiations with key Retail accounts;
• Experience managing importers, distributors and commercial partners;
• Strong business development, negotiation and analytical skills;
• Results-oriented, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset;
• Fluent German and English;
• Residence in Germany and availability to travel across the DACH region.
