The ideal candidate will have strong programming fundamentals, a genuine interest in cryptocurrency markets, and a desire to develop their technical expertise in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and improvement of trading algorithms, infrastructure, and blockchain connectivity solutions.
  • Research and analyze DeFi protocols, blockchain ecosystems, and on-chain data to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Assist in developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts and blockchain-based applications.
  • Explore emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and development frameworks.
  • Collaborate with engineers and traders to support the implementation of automated trading and market-making solutions.
  • Monitor developments across DeFi protocols and cryptocurrency markets, sharing relevant findings with the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong programming fundamentals, with proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, C++, Rust, TypeScript, or Solidity.
  • Basic understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized finance.
  • Familiarity with Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains, or other blockchain ecosystems.
  • Interest in cryptocurrency markets, algorithmic trading, and financial technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eagerness to learn and tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred / Desirable Experience

  • Academic projects, personal projects, internships, or contributions to open-source blockchain applications.
  • Exposure to smart contract development using Solidity or other blockchain programming languages.
  • Familiarity with DeFi protocols, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), or on-chain analytics.
  • Experience with Web3 development tools and frameworks such as Foundry, Hardhat, or ethers.js.
  • Basic understanding of quantitative trading, market making, or financial markets.
  • Familiarity with Git, APIs, and software development best practices.

Locations and Right to work: This role will be based out of our Zurich office. Only candidates who possess the pre-existing right to work in Switzerland without company sponsorship need apply.
