Truck Driver - Class 1 FM - - Feed Delivery

Hourly rate starting at: $27,13 per hour

Status: Full time

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00 am, 10 hours per day

Job location: 47 Minas Warehouse Road, New Minas, NS

CHALLENGES WE OFFER

• Load and deliver bulk or bagged animal feed to farms following delivery slips.

• Operate multi-compartment tanks, pneumatic discharge systems, and boom/auger unloading equipment.

• Follow strict on-farm biosecurity, sanitation, and vehicle disinfection protocols.

• Verify load sheets against delivery slips for correct formulas, medications, and quantities.

• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on the truck and unloading equipment.

• Handle on-farm delivery paperwork, invoices, and basic customer inquiries.

• Report mechanical issues, delivery accidents, or customer concerns to supervisors.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the truck, specialized equipment, and uniform.

• Follow all transport safety and driving regulations on urban and rural routes.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance or other duties as assigned.

YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE

• You hold a valid Class 1FM driver's license.

• You have a good driving record.

• Be physically able to lift 80 lbs and perform physical work.

• You are comfortable driving in rural and urban areas.

• Be able to work in outdoor conditions (weather, dust, noise).

• You are customer-centric with good communication skills.

• You are available for overtime if needed.
